Jesse Spencer reportedly first met his to-be wife in 2014 at a Chicago festival. Kali was attending Northwestern University then. On the other hand, Jesse was kept busy filming the hit TV drama Chigaco Fire.
The two immediately clicked after that first interaction. The couple started dating soon after, happily turning into a long and fruitful relationship.
Six beautiful years later, Jesse finally decided to pop the question during a hiking escapade in the Peruvian Andes.

Why did Jesse Spencer Leave the Chicago Fire？
Kali might be the reason why Jesse left the cast of the hit television series Chicago Fire. But don’t go hating her for it yet! There’s an excellent reason for what happened.
Jesse Spencer spent almost a decade playing Matthew Casey, the captain in Fire House 51. As such, the Australian actor’s fans were shocked at his decision to leave the cast.
In an interview, he explained how he realized he’s been doing TV [shows] for a long time. “It was a difficult decision…but there are some things I would like to do…and there’s some family I need to take care of,” Jesse told the press.
Coincidentally, Kali was two months pregnant by the time. So, it’s safe to assume that his family is a part of his decision to leave after ten seasons of Chicago Fire.
One thing’s for sure, though: Jesse Spencer is a great dad and husband!
